Kitchen inventions

This week room 9 have been researching kitchen inventions like the oven, the food processer and many other things. The invention I have been working on is the fridge the history of it is very interesting also did you know the first fridge commercially published was in 1927. I made a speech  on the history of the fridge.

camp

On the 11th to the 13th of September the year sevens are going to camp Tautuku. the activitys we are doing on the second day with adventure southland are Abeseiling, beach activitys, team challenges, rock climbing and kayaking.On the second night we are having a camp fire and we are roasting marsh mallows mmmmm!
On the first day we are walking in the Mclean Falls to see the wonderful veiws.

technology

The year 7s from room 9 this week have been doing technology my group are doing electronics we made an electronic game called steady hand game or the buzzer game. We also made bowls out of plastic which we melted then moulded into shape.We also are making wooden boxes the painting and varnishing

Polyfest

On Thursday the 22 of August all of  Winton School are going into Invercargill for Polyfest. We are singing three Maori songs they are called Tahu potiki [the haka], Tia Aroha and Kia pioioi.The songs are getting better and better everyday that we are practicing them. Most peoples favourite song is Tahu potiki.

Speeches

In room9 we have started on speeches they have to be 2-4 minutes long.My speech topic is on Child labor some other topics other people are doing are best pet in the world, cyber bullying, Southland is the best and lots more.
